I grew up surrounded by the vibrant colors and rich textures of India, and for the past five years, I have been blooming here in the Netherlands. I’ve always dreamed of building a brand that speaks deeply to women—one that encourages them to confidently communicate their presence through the pieces they choose to invest in. That is the heartbeat of De Bloem. My intention is to create beautifully crafted, functional products that make you feel seen, stand out in the everyday rhythm of life, and carry a story worth telling.

Indian-Dutch Heritage
When I first moved to the Netherlands, I found myself constantly captivated by the bold, expressive patterns that Dutch women so confidently adorn in their everyday lives. Yet, looking at those vibrant designs unexpectedly sparked a deep sense of nostalgia within me, instantly pulling my heart back to the rich cultural tapestry of my upbringing. It was exactly in that beautiful contrast where De Bloem was born. While Bloem means flower in Dutch—a nod to growth, blooming, and finding your footing in a new home—it also carries a deeper, hidden soul: it stands for Bharatiya Loom, a tribute to India's vast creative heritage. Beyond the loom itself, it is a bridge to an entire world of ancient lore, handcrafted motifs, everyday objects, and oral stories passed down through generations. De Bloem takes these timeless roots and reimagines them for the modern, adventurous woman, creating pieces that carry a profound global history.
